North Ridge Community Church

Johnson City, TN
Building purchase & renovation

North Ridge Community Church turned to the Missionary Church Investment Foundation (MCIF) with an exciting problem—they’d outgrown their facility!

This Missionary Church in Johnson City, TN, started in 2009, but 3 years later, with approximately 400 people attending, they were bursting at the seams.

Instead of expanding their existing building or buying a larger building, church leaders decided to plant another church in town.

In 2013, with MCIF's help, North Ridge purchased a 25,000 square-foot building—a former bowling alley—for the new church plant. Church members are busy renovating it, preparing for the grand opening in the fall.

In the meantime, services at the new church plant are well underway in a nearby temporary facility, and attendance has exceeded everyone’s expectations. On North Ridge’s inaugural Sunday in January 2013, 139 people attended. Imagine the outreach of this church once the new facility is finished!
